RosellaStudios was asked by Washington Green to document the installation of an exhibition of work by artist Alexander Millar at the Great North Museum, as well as live painting sessions with students hosted by Castle Galleries.
I continue to work with the Baltic education department documenting their work with schools from across the region.
I am currently working on several projects with the Centre for Creativity & Learning, based at University of Sunderland.
This year Globe Gallery moved into a disused bank in Newcastle’s Discovery Quarter providing a opportunity for documenting a fascinating change of use.
These three images form part of a series of 14 donated to the gallery for fundraising.
I am currently experimenting with long exposures in daylight using a ten stop neutral density filter.

Rosella Studios has been continuing it’s documentation at Impressions Gallery, Bradford, of both exhibitions and installations, including Love Me by photographer Zed Nelson and
Lost Languages and other voices by Joy Gregory, as well as public interactions and the gallery environs.
Two new exhibitions installed at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art this October are Damien Hirst’s Pharmacy (in conjunction with Tate Connects) and the only UK showing of Parrworld by photographer Martin Parr, an exhibition of photographs, photographic books and a range of objects from Parr’s personal collection.
It was fun looking at and documenting the work, and meeting Martin himself..
I took my ladders across the river to Workplace Gallery in Gateshead to document Catherine Bertola’s exhibition Unseen by all but me alone, on until 7 Nov 2009.
Rosella Studios were commisioned to document new artworks marking the end of the C2C cycle route in Sunderland which will greet cyclists as they reach the final leg of their journey under the Wearmouth Bridge.
Designed by Andrew Small, ‘C’ is a large granite monolith, which will frame Roker Lighthouse and place the end of the route firmly in Sunderland.
The work has been inspired by Bede, the 8th century monk and father of modern history based in Monkwearmouth and Jarrow, who calculated the motion of the Sun and the Moon to set the date of Easter.
